Role Overview

The Estimator will take ownership of reviewing project needs, studying technical documentation, and creating precise cost estimates for materials, labor, and delivery timelines. The role involves collecting and checking information from relevant stakeholders, understanding drawings or specifications, and using estimation software or spreadsheets to build detailed quotations and proposals.

What You Will Do

• Examine project requirements and convert them into structured cost estimates.
• Review drawings, technical documents, and specifications to understand scope.
• Prepare quotations and proposals using estimation tools, spreadsheets, or similar software.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and the sales team to improve estimate quality and accuracy.
• Look for practical ways to reduce costs while keeping bids competitive and aligned with customer expectations.
• Compare actual project spending with estimates and support cost tracking.
• Maintain and refresh pricing data for future estimates.
• Help improve internal estimation methods and workflows over time.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven capability in analyzing project scope, reading technical inputs, and preparing detailed estimates.
• Strong numerical ability, analytical thinking, and accuracy in calculations.
• Comfort using spreadsheets, costing tools, or estimation software.
• Clear communication and the ability to work well with different teams and stakeholders.
• Good time management skills and the ability to handle several projects or estimates at once.
• Experience in estimation, costing, or project coordination is an advantage, especially in technical, construction, manufacturing, or technology settings.
• A diploma or degree in engineering, construction management, business, finance, or a similar field is preferred.
• Must be willing to work on-site in Valliyur and thrive in a fast-moving startup-style environment.

Work Location

This is a full-time, on-site position in Valliyur, Tamil Nadu, India.
