Role Overview
SteerBridge Strategies is looking for an experienced Data Analyst to support high-priority work in a secure, tightly managed data setting. The position centers on advanced analysis, automation, and reporting that help leadership make informed decisions. The right candidate will bring strong SQL capability, experience handling large relational data sets, and the ability to turn complex information into clear, practical insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine large relational databases to spot patterns, inefficiencies, and performance issues.
- Convert raw information into usable insights that support leadership decisions.
- Detect degraders, shortages, and other operational problem areas.
- Build and maintain production-quality SQL in Amazon Redshift and Oracle SQL Developer.
- Use advanced SQL methods such as CTEs, window functions, complex joins, and aggregations.
- Tune queries to improve speed and scalability.
- Investigate and resolve inconsistencies across multiple data sources.
- Create automated validation checks for row counts, duplicates, completeness, and data integrity.
- Confirm data accuracy and consistency before reports are distributed.
- Identify the underlying causes of data quality issues and correct them.
- Support and sustain ETL pipelines and data workflows.
- Develop automated routines for ingestion, transformation, and validation of data.
- Use scheduling or orchestration tools such as cron, AWS services, Airflow, or similar platforms.
- Design processes that operate without manual intervention.
- Write automation scripts in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Automate data extraction, file handling, and pipeline checks.
- Connect scripts into complete end-to-end workflows.
- Create and update automated reports and dashboards.
- Support recurring daily, weekly, and monthly reporting needs.
- Ensure reports are accurate, consistent, and delivered on time.
Required Qualifications
The role requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance. A bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as Data Analytics, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related area is required, along with at least 3 years of professional experience in data analysis or a closely related role. Candidates should have strong experience working in sensitive or controlled data environments, advanced SQL proficiency, and familiarity with large relational datasets and data structures. A solid grasp of joins, aggregations, query optimization, data discrepancy troubleshooting, ETL processes, data pipelines, and recurring dashboards is also expected, along with strong attention to detail and validation practices.

- Build productive relationships with collaborators, program providers, community partners, and military personnel.
- Manage several critical priorities at once while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

- Between 3 and 6 years of professional experience after college.
- Exposure to predictive analytics or modeling.
- Working knowledge of Python or R for analysis.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this position is $81,000 to $95,000 per year.
