Job Overview

Role: Data Analyst

Location: Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

Experience: 7 to 8 years

Employment Type: Contract / Fixed-Term Contract

What You Will Do

• Work with large and complex datasets to support the resolution of challenging business issues.
• Use SQL to prepare backend data and assist with dashboard development and support.
• Apply Python, Airflow, and DBT to analyse data, build solutions, and automate workflows.
• Carry out basic data engineering activities to minimise reliance on other team members.
• Interpret data carefully and turn findings into useful business insights.

Experience and Skills Needed

• Proven background handling large volumes of data in a business environment.
• Strong command of SQL for data preparation and reporting support.
• Practical experience using Python for analysis and problem-solving.
• Exposure to Airflow and DBT for pipeline and transformation workflows.
• Ability to perform entry-level data engineering tasks.
• Well-developed analytical thinking and interpretation skills.
