Freight Broker

Role Overview

This role is for a Freight Broker based in Mohali. The position focuses on handling freight movement across the U.S. by working with shippers and carriers, finalizing rates, and supporting on-time deliveries while keeping relationships productive and professional.

Working Hours

The shift runs from 5:30 pm to 2:30 am.

Key Responsibilities

• Arrange and oversee shipments by coordinating directly with shippers and carriers.
• Develop and maintain a dependable carrier base.
• Discuss and settle freight pricing and contract terms.
• Monitor shipment progress and step in to fix any transit issues.
• Stay in touch with customers and share regular status updates.
• Follow U.S. transportation rules and compliance requirements.
• Keep documentation, logs, and reports accurate and up to date.

Required Background

• At least 6 months of experience in U.S. freight brokerage or logistics.
• Working understanding of freight operations and applicable regulations.
• Good verbal and written communication abilities, along with negotiation skills.
• Comfortable working night shifts in a dynamic, fast-moving setting.
• Exposure to load boards, freight management tools, and MS Office.
