Software Engineer - Java Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Implement best practice coding standards across various projects.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects and Technical Leads to realize and execute the technical vision.
• Address technical challenges and effectively communicate your strategies to the team.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and consistency among developers.
• Coordinate with the team to plan project milestones and ensure successful software delivery, escalating issues when necessary.
• Improve code quality through thorough writing and execution of tests.
• Utilize security scanning tools and enforce best practices to resolve security vulnerabilities.

Required Skills and Experience

• At least 3 years of professional experience developing with Java (preferably version 11 or 17), specializing in scalable, enterprise-grade technology stacks.
• Strong expertise with the Spring Boot framework and NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
• Familiarity with container orchestration platforms such as Cloud Foundry or Kubernetes.
• Experience in application security practices, including OAuth2 and Single Sign-On (SSO) technologies.
• Hands-on knowledge of event-stream processing tools such as Kafka or Pub/Sub.
• Proficiency with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles.
• Background in Object-Oriented and Functional programming design concepts.
• Preferred: Production experience with Node.js servers.
• Preferred: Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks, ideally React.
• Preferred: Experience with contemporary JavaScript toolchains including ES6, TypeScript, Babel, Lerna, Jest, and Protractor.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance team environment and a motivation to elevate team capabilities.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct in-depth independent research and share solutions collaboratively.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and adaptability in evolving project environments.
