Freelance Logistics Manager

Role Overview

This freelance logistics role sits within the logistics industry and is based in the United States. The engagement is expected to run for 1 to 2 months.

What You’ll Do

• Take ownership of warehouse, distribution, inventory, and customer service activities, ensuring they are organized and well coordinated.
• Oversee the end-to-end order process, covering inventory control, shipment planning, and required documentation.
• Track logistics KPIs, evaluate performance trends, and introduce improvements that strengthen efficiency and lower operating costs.
• Work closely with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and customers to align operations and keep the supply chain moving smoothly.
• Spot operational risks, including supply chain interruptions and compliance-related issues, and put safeguards in place to reduce them.

What We’re Looking For

• A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related field.
• At least 5 years of steady experience in logistics or operations.
• Strong capability in building and using advanced Excel models for planning, forecasting, and business decisions.
• Practical experience with ERP platforms such as NetSuite or similar systems, including item master oversight and BOM accuracy.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with confidence in supporting executive-level decisions.

Compensation
