Role Overview
As a Frontend Software Engineer, you will own the development and upkeep of game-related projects while collaborating closely with art, design, and backend teams. The role centers on building responsive, user-friendly interfaces and making sure core UI/UX principles are reflected in the final product.
What You Will Do
- Partner with product owners and designers to translate product messaging and visual direction into working interfaces, while resolving usability and performance concerns.
- Build and improve web applications according to design requirements and functional specifications, with an eye on long-term scalability and future technology changes.
- Suggest practical solutions that strike the right balance between how a product works and how it looks.
- Turn concepts into early visual mockups, sample pages, or wireframes.
- Set up and maintain front-end design rules, standards, and working practices to keep branding consistent across products.
- Coordinate with backend developers to deliver service-based, responsive web applications.
- Keep learning and strengthening relevant programming and software skills so the technology stack stays current.
- Check that UI/UX ideas are technically feasible and tune applications for speed and scalability.
- Produce clean, efficient, and maintainable code that follows coding standards and best practices.
- Review code from peers and share helpful feedback.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and fix front-end issues to support a smooth user experience.
- Stay informed about new tools, trends, and technologies to keep improving product quality.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in front-end development.
- A Higher Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar discipline.
- Strong command of HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience with engines such as Unity, Cocos2, and Cocos3.
- Working knowledge of build tools and frameworks such as Node.js, Webpack, NPM, and Yarn.
- Solid understanding of front-end engineering practices and software development standards.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and AWS web services.
- Good grasp of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Experience using version control tools such as Git and SourceTree.
- Background in arcade-style or reel-style games.
