Task Associate

Overview

Ulta Beauty is seeking a Task Associate to help keep store operations running smoothly and support a strong guest experience. This role is centered on making sure merchandise is available, store areas stay clean and organized, and assigned operational work is completed accurately and on time. The position suits someone who enjoys a fast-moving retail environment and has a strong eye for detail.

The associate will work closely with the Merchandise Manager and Operations Manager while supporting store performance, teamwork, and adherence to operating procedures and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Help the store meet or exceed retail goals by completing assigned tasks and ensuring products are ready for customers.
• Track and complete operational work on schedule, including shipment handling, replenishment, product sets, and inventory activities.
• Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Support a welcoming environment for teammates and guests by contributing to an inclusive workplace.
• Take part in ongoing learning, including brand and category training, to strengthen skills and support sales performance.
• Follow company policies, procedures, standards, and dress code requirements.
• Carry out merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, inventory procedures, and shipment processing using company tools and best practices.
• Keep assigned areas stocked, signed, faced, and ready for shoppers, including making sure testers are available.
• Maintain clean and orderly store conditions across the sales floor, restrooms, cashwrap, backroom, and break area.
• Protect company assets by following loss prevention practices and delivering excellent guest service.
• Complete additional operational duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is preferred.
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience is preferred, or an equivalent mix of education and related experience.
• Basic technology skills are needed, including comfort using POS systems and Apple devices.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
• Strong problem-solving ability.
• Availability for a flexible schedule that may include early mornings, daytime shifts, evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays.

Working Conditions

• Continuous movement throughout the store during the shift.
• Frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting.
• Regular lifting, carrying, or moving of items up to 25 lbs during the shift.
• Continuous or frequent handling and coordination of objects while working.
