Role Overview
This is a remote contract opportunity for a Software Developer based in Canada. The role calls for a weekly commitment of about 10 to 40 hours.
What You’ll Do
- Build, support, and improve scalable back-end as well as full-stack applications using languages and platforms such as Python, Rust, Go, Java, or Node.js.
- Work with team members across functions to ship software that aligns with changing business needs.
- Produce code that is tidy, performant, and clearly documented, while following sound engineering standards.
- Investigate issues, fix defects, and refine existing systems to boost stability and speed.
- Take part in peer code reviews, technical conversations, and architecture planning sessions to support ongoing product improvements.
- Help move features through the complete software lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and release.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong hands-on experience in software development, ideally with one or more of the following: Python, Rust, Go, Java, Node.js, Android, iOS, or full-stack engineering.
- Ability to design software that is scalable, dependable, and easy to maintain.
- Prior experience in remote, collaborative, and agile work settings.
- Comfort with contemporary development tools, version control workflows, and CI/CD practices.
- Strong analytical thinking and careful attention to detail.
