Role Overview

This internship is part of the company’s first engineering internship cohort. The role is designed for students who want to help build fast, reliable, and secure product experiences while contributing to AI-native projects that create value for both customers and internal engineering teams.

The internship runs for 12 weeks, from September 14 to December 4, and requires working from the San Francisco office throughout the program. Interns will be paired with a mentor and will collaborate closely with the team to ship meaningful product work.

What You Will Do

• Produce code that is clean, secure, well-tested, and clearly documented.
• Improve and extend the product through new capabilities using an AI-first approach.
• Build, troubleshoot, and refine software across the full stack, including web services, databases, applications, and internal tools, using modern frameworks and development tooling.

Requirements

• You are currently working toward a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, and you must finish your degree before Summer 2027.
• You have at least one prior internship experience.
• You are developing working proficiency in one or more languages such as TypeScript, Node.js, or Python.
• You enjoy tackling ambitious technical problems and are interested in uncovering issues as well as solving them.
• You can adapt quickly, handle shifting priorities, and solve problems effectively in a fast-moving environment.
• You can be in the San Francisco office for the full internship period from September 14 to December 4.

Skills and Traits

• Interest in AI technologies such as LLMs, embeddings, and machine learning, along with a willingness to experiment and build prototypes.

Compensation

The estimated hourly pay for San Francisco-based interns is $57 per hour for bachelor’s students and $61 per hour for master’s students. Compensation may differ based on location, role scope, complexity, experience, and expertise. The company also states that it offers competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits.
