Job description

Role Overview

Qiddiya Investment Company is looking for a seasoned and driven Assistant Manager for Accounts Payable to strengthen its finance function in Riyadh. In this position, you will help keep payable operations running smoothly by ensuring supplier invoices and payments are handled accurately and on time, while also building effective working relationships with vendors and internal teams.

The role carries responsibility for supervising payable activities, checking compliance with company policies and regulatory standards, and supporting audits and process improvements that help maintain strong financial control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the accounts payable team to make sure invoices and payments are processed correctly and within required timelines.
  • Examine and authorize supplier invoices in line with company rules and relevant regulations.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to settle invoice differences and resolve payment-related concerns.
  • Keep vendor master data and accounting records accurate and up to date.
  • Perform routine reviews of accounts payable transactions to confirm that internal controls are being applied properly.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing tasks related to payables.
  • Generate reports and review payable data to spot trends and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Stay informed about current practices and legal or regulatory requirements affecting accounts payable operations.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in accounts payable, finance, or a similar function is needed.
  • Strong understanding of payable workflows, internal control practices, and financial compliance requirements.
  • Comfort using accounting systems and Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.
  • High attention to detail along with solid analytical ability.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a team.
  • Good communication and people skills.
  • Ability to organize priorities and handle several tasks in a busy environment.
