Job description
Role Overview
This position supports contract management activities in a professional and structured way. The role focuses on sourcing, assessing, and engaging suppliers for materials, services, and equipment within the assigned portfolio based on business priorities and operational requirements. It is responsible for helping deliver timely contracting solutions that reduce downtime and improve productivity while aligning with company strategy.
Communication
- Internal: Maintain regular contact with management, share updates, implement relevant policies, exchange information, and discuss performance indicators. The role also involves supporting other internal teams when needed.
- External: Communicate with vendors and suppliers as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with drafting contracts and reviewing all contract amendments and proposals to make sure they are complete, compliant, and accurate.
- Track outsourced service matters and work to ensure vendors deliver the required quality within the agreed timelines.
- Monitor supplier performance, funding, and payment status for assigned contracts, and flag possible non-compliance or issues that could negatively affect the company.
- Take part in reviewing purchase requisitions, request-for-proposal documents, bid evaluations, and contract awards, while keeping the contract database current and correct.
- Check that all required bank guarantees and insurance policies remain valid after confirming contract obligations.
- Review contract disputes, claims, and external audit matters, and help resolve issues that may affect business-unit or company compliance, legal obligations, and stakeholder objectives.
- Work with the contract proponent representative to prepare Tender Review Committee papers.
- Join the contract proponent representative and finance team in negotiating and settling change orders.
- Coordinate with OME and other support departments to address operational issues and improve contracting service delivery.
- Carry out any other job-related tasks assigned by the direct supervisor.
Education Requirement
A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or an equivalent field is required.
Experience Requirement
Saudi nationals: no prior experience required. Expatriates: 3 years of relevant work experience required.
