Associate - Maintenance, Weaving

Job purpose

This role is responsible for carrying out and tracking the complete maintenance cycle for Weaving Loom Shed II and III, with consistent focus on meeting the required standards for time, cost, and quality.

The position requires building a strong preventive and proactive maintenance mindset across all stakeholders, including support functions. It also calls for continuous effort to keep all assets in top operating condition over time, along with developing workmen into multi-skilled team members so different sections can work smoothly together.

Key result areas

Maintenance planning and budgeting

• Coordinate with the production team to plan preventive maintenance for looms and other industrial machines so breakdowns are reduced.
• Work closely with production to avoid losses in output and maintain product quality.
• Train workmen to prevent avoidable physical damage to equipment.
• Ensure that minimum spare-parts inventory is always available.

Maintenance control

• Monitor manpower usage closely so maintenance work is completed efficiently without affecting planned activities.
• Drive strict compliance with LOTO procedures and ensure everyone in the section follows them without exception.

Review of maintenance activities

• Analyze breakdowns and put corrective actions in place.
• Work toward achieving the desired MTBF and MTTR targets.

WCM and IMS implementation

• Benchmark against leading global manufacturers and compare current quality systems and work practices to identify improvement gaps.
• Prepare improvement plans and run trials to raise quality levels.
• Guide and monitor implementation of IMS quality management standards across the plant.

Maintenance safety

• Implement HIRA and SOP requirements, maintain housekeeping, and follow safe working practices throughout the plant.
