Role overview

An established Canadian general contractor with more than four decades of experience is growing its Western Canada footprint and is seeking an Estimator or Senior Estimator in the Vancouver area. The business has a strong reputation and delivers work across commercial, residential, and institutional sectors, with project values typically between $10 million and $100 million.

What you will do

This position is suited to an Estimator or Senior Estimator who can contribute to pursuits across a range of project types in the Lower Mainland. The role involves preparing estimates from Class D through Class A, supporting tender submissions, and helping guide the pricing strategy for projects. You will also be expected to assist with trade recommendations, evaluate opportunities, and contribute to successful bid outcomes.

Experience and fit

The hiring team is looking for someone with at least 5 years of local estimating experience at Estimator level or above. Background in institutional, commercial, or multifamily construction is preferred. A solid understanding of technical estimating principles, the design/build delivery method, and the ability to build strong relationships are important. The employer values integrity, a strong work ethic, and a history of winning pursuits.

Work arrangement

The company offers a highly flexible working setup with the option of remote or hybrid work. However, the successful candidate must be based locally in order to attend in-person meetings when required.

Compensation and benefits

The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $150,000+ per year. The package also includes RSP matching, a share purchase program, a bonus scheme, and benefits.
