Job description

Job summary

The ELV Project Engineer is responsible for steering extra-low-voltage project delivery from the design review stage through installation, testing, commissioning, and final handover. The role calls for close coordination with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams so that work is completed on schedule, within budget, and in line with technical requirements and safety expectations.

Project management

  • Run ELV project execution in line with approved plans and timelines.
  • Track project progress and compile regular status updates.
  • Work closely with contractors, consultants, and clients to coordinate site activities.
  • Keep milestones on track while respecting budget limits and deadlines.
  • Participate in project meetings and share technical progress updates.

Technical responsibilities

  • Examine ELV drawings, specifications, and design packages.
  • Prepare shop drawings, material submissions, and method statements.
  • Oversee the installation of ELV systems on site.
  • Ensure all work follows project specifications, local regulations, and accepted industry standards.
  • Address and resolve technical issues that arise during execution.

  • Develop plans for testing and commissioning.
  • Coordinate integration testing between systems.
  • Carry out inspections and quality verification.
  • Prepare commissioning reports and handover files.
  • Provide training to end users and facilities management teams.

Documentation

  • Raise requests for information (RFIs) as needed.
  • Keep project records and as-built drawings updated.
  • Submit progress reports and technical documents.
  • Coordinate preparation of operation and maintenance manuals.

Additional information

This role requires immediate joining and a valid no-objection certificate (NOC). A Qatar driving license is preferred. The offered salary range is QAR 8,000 to QAR 10,000 per month.
