Role overview
At Corban University in Salem, Oregon, Sodexo is seeking a General Maintenance Worker for a full-time onsite role. This position offers varying shifts across different days and hours, with open availability preferred. The exact schedule will be discussed during the interview process.
This opportunity pays between $20 and $26 per hour.
What the role is about
In this position, you will help keep the facility safe, functional, and well maintained. The work calls for practical repair knowledge, a problem-solving mindset, and a strong focus on safety. Your day-to-day efforts will directly support the wellbeing of others and the smooth operation of the site.
Key duties
The work may involve maintenance and repair tasks across several areas, including minor plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing, electrical repair or installation, and vehicle servicing.
You may also handle routine upkeep such as replacing light bulbs, installing paper dispensers, changing filters, replacing door locks, and completing minor decorative maintenance. These are tasks that do not require a licensed tradesperson or journeyman.
Attendance and punctuality are essential, and you will also be expected to take on additional duties based on business needs and client requirements.
What you should bring
Ideal candidates are dependable, flexible, team-focused, and committed to supporting a healthy and safe work environment. The role requires at least 2 years of related experience, along with the appropriate license or certification needed for the work to be performed in the city and state where the job is located.
A valid driver’s license is also required.
