Role Summary

This temporary, on-site housekeeping position is located in Paradise Point on the Gold Coast. The role focuses on helping participants maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment, while also supporting a person-centred and respectful atmosphere.

Key Duties

• Carry out everyday cleaning work such as vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sanitising bathrooms and kitchens.
• Handle laundry tasks including washing, drying, folding, and replacing bed linen.
• Keep an eye on household supplies and report any repair or safety concerns when identified.
• Assist with light home organisation and help replenish basic household items where needed.
• Follow cleaning plans and work practices that support health, safety, and infection control standards.
• Communicate respectfully with participants, respect privacy, and work in line with individual care plans.
• Coordinate effectively with the wider support team to maintain a positive living environment.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in cleaning and housekeeping, including laundry and basic household upkeep.
• Clear communication skills and a service-oriented approach when dealing with participants, families, and colleagues.
• Strong organisation skills and the ability to work through scheduled tasks methodically.
• Willingness to learn and follow workplace procedures, including WHS and infection control requirements.
• Previous exposure to housekeeping, residential care, community support, or a similar setting is preferred.
• Respectful and inclusive manner when working with people from varied backgrounds and support needs.
• Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working independently with little supervision.
• Ability to provide required clearances, such as police and vulnerable person/children checks, plus the legal right to work in Australia.
