About the role

Invicta Software is hiring an IT Support Specialist to help keep day-to-day technology running smoothly across the organization. In this role, you will respond to employee support needs, solve technical issues quickly, and contribute to a reliable and secure IT environment. It is a strong fit for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working with a range of systems, and supporting others to stay productive.

Key objectives

  • Provide prompt, high-quality technical assistance to users in a professional manner.
  • Handle issues related to hardware, software, and networks so interruptions stay minimal.
  • Work closely with the IT team to improve system reliability and the overall user experience.
  • Follow internal IT rules and procedures to support security and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for hardware, software, and network concerns by phone, email, or in person.
  • Identify and fix problems affecting desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Set up, configure, and update computers and applications as required.
  • Support user administration tasks such as password resets and permission changes.
  • Keep clear records of issues raised, actions taken, and solutions provided.
  • Partner with other IT staff to hand over and resolve more complex technical problems.
  • Assist with IT asset control by monitoring equipment inventory and arranging repairs or replacements.
  • Continue learning new tools and methods through ongoing training.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working in IT support, service desk, or a helpdesk environment.
  • Working knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • Comfort using common productivity platforms such as Microsoft Office 365 and Google Workspace.
  • Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, and VPN concepts.
  • Strong troubleshooting ability and a practical approach to resolving technical issues.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical details in simple terms.
  • Ability to juggle several requests and prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified are advantageous.
