Overview
We are looking for a Junior BIM Coordinator to join the Middle East delivery team. The role combines several project-support functions and is focused on helping delivery teams work to the right standards and follow current industry best practice. The ideal person will be people-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable working with technology to support successful project execution.
Role Summary
As a Junior Information Manager, you will help ensure digital information is created, stored, shared, and used effectively with modern tools and workflows. You will support project teams in meeting information management and BIM requirements across the full project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and check surveying and setting-out work completed by contractors.
- Assist the Information Manager with all required project tasks to keep delivery on track and compliant, including BEP preparation, model federation, Level of Information Need, and responsibility matrices.
- Manage Atkins' MIDP Online Tool.
- Support administration of the Common Data Environment (BIM 360) and help the team use it effectively.
- Carry out multidisciplinary clash detection, group identified clashes, and help coordinate their assignment and closure.
- Support effective information management in line with ISO 19650 for projects where Atkins acts as either the Lead Appointed Party or an Appointed Party.
- Help ensure the delivery team follows BIM execution plans and information exchange processes.
- Support self-disciplinary coordination workflows, including clash matrices.
- Check technical and quality review processes for deliverables using digital tools.
- Apply naming conventions correctly and maintain status and revision coding in accordance with ISO 19650.
- Ensure LOD and LOI are developed correctly in BIM models across project stages.
- Assist audit teams so Task Information Delivery Plans are delivered in line with Appointing Party requirements.
Required Experience and Education
The role requires a bachelor's degree in architectural engineering, civil engineering, or another equivalent technical discipline, along with more than 5 years of experience in the AEC industry. Experience in digital delivery for large, multidisciplinary projects is essential.
Technical Skills and Knowledge
You should have a strong grasp of data, information management, and BIM, with solid knowledge of ISO 19650 compliance. The role also calls for good understanding of engineering design and the ability to support design teams with self- and inter-disciplinary coordination and quality compliance. Advanced capability with BIM authoring and coordination tools is needed, along with familiarity with common data environment platforms.

- Working knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
- Exposure to BIM and information management applications such as construction sequencing, quantity take-offs, virtual reality, and augmented reality.
