Job summary

This role is part of the housekeeping and laundry function at Westin Hotels & Resorts in Chennai. The position focuses on welcoming guests, handling laundry and dry-cleaning items carefully, and delivering garments to guest rooms while maintaining a polished, guest-focused service style.

Key responsibilities

The associate is expected to assist guests with their belongings on arrival in a safe and courteous way, deliver laundry and clothing to guest rooms, and respond quickly to requests from guests, the Front Desk, or the At Your Service team. The role also includes checking the cleanliness and presentation of laundry and dry-cleaning items, ensuring valet tickets are completed accurately, and coordinating repair items and return deliveries once they are ready.

The position requires strict adherence to company policies and procedures, a neat and professional appearance, and protection of confidential and proprietary information. Clear communication, professional telephone etiquette, accurate document handling, and strong teamwork are essential. The role also calls for compliance with quality standards and the ability to perform physical tasks such as reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, grasping, and lifting or carrying items weighing up to 10 pounds. The job may also involve standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods.

Schedule and employment details

This is a full-time, non-management role based at 154 Velachery Main Road, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, 600042. The position is not remote. The company expects flexibility in work schedule, and other reasonable duties may be assigned by supervisors as needed.

Preferred qualifications

Candidates should have completed high school or an equivalent GED. A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience is preferred. No supervisory background is required, and no license or certification is needed.
