Lifeguard

About the Role

As a lifeguard, you will help keep the pool and recreation area safe while creating a welcoming, enjoyable experience for guests. The role is based in Doha, Qatar and is a full-time, non-management position within the Golf, Fitness, & Entertainment category.

Core Duties

• Watch swimmers closely and act quickly with the right rescue methods when someone needs help.
• Monitor the pool area for unsafe behavior, hazards, or guests who may be unable to take part safely in an activity.
• Enforce recreation area rules and keep guests informed of regulations.
• Support injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
• Help maintain a relaxed, pleasant atmosphere for guests.
• Collect, fold, and arrange towels according to company procedures.
• Clean the pool deck by washing and mopping as needed.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management and complete required safety training and certifications.

• Follow company policies and procedures, safeguard confidential information, and protect company property.
• Greet all guests in line with company standards and communicate in a clear, professional manner.
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance and respond to guest needs promptly and respectfully.
• Assist guests with disabilities and show appreciation to all visitors.
• Work cooperatively with team members and treat everyone with dignity and respect.
• Meet quality assurance standards and inspect tools or equipment for defects when needed.
• Be able to move quickly when required, including walking, jogging, or running as situations demand.
• Stand, sit, or walk for long periods or an entire shift.
• Lift, carry, push, pull, and place items up to 50 pounds without assistance and more than 75 pounds with assistance.
• Use hands with precision for handling objects of different sizes and weights.
• Work safely on slopes, uneven or slippery surfaces, and move up and down ladders, stairs, and service ramps.
• Bend, reach, twist, stoop, pull, and reach above the head or below the knees as part of the job.
• Perform additional duties reasonably assigned by management.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED is preferred. No prior related work experience or supervisory experience is required. The role requires CPR certification, first aid certification, fitness equipment certification, and any other training or certification required by local or state authorities.
