About the Role

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Recreation Experience Expert to be a key resource for all recreational activities at the property. This role involves informing guests about available recreational facilities such as the pool, beach, entertainment/game room, gym, and kids' activity center. You will be responsible for motivating, recruiting, registering, and organizing guest participation in recreational activities, fostering a fun and relaxing atmosphere. Upholding the rules and regulations of recreational facilities to ensure guest safety and well-being is crucial. You will also monitor recreational areas, respond to emergencies according to local operating procedures, and provide cashier services where point-of-sale transactions occur. Assisting with private group functions and events in recreational areas is also part of the role. You must be vigilant for potentially unsafe situations and report them to a supervisor. Providing assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive is expected. Maintaining the cleanliness and condition of recreational facilities, equipment, and supplies is a key responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary contact for all recreational activities on the property.
• Inform guests about available recreational amenities like the pool, beach, game room, gym, and kids' club.
• Encourage, enlist, register, and coordinate guest involvement in recreational programs.
• Cultivate an enjoyable and tranquil environment for guests.
• Enforce recreational facility rules and regulations to ensure guest safety and welfare.
• Observe activities within recreational spaces and act appropriately during emergencies per local procedures.
• Perform cashier duties for point-of-sale transactions in relevant facilities.
• Support private group functions and events held in recreational areas.
• Identify and report potentially unsafe guest participation in activities to management.
• Offer aid to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
• Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of recreational facilities, equipment, and supplies.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the manager.
• Complete safety training and certifications.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring a professional appearance and maintaining confidentiality of company information and assets.
• Welcome and serve all guests according to company standards, anticipating service needs and assisting individuals with disabilities.
• Express genuine appreciation to guests.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, and answer phone calls with proper etiquette.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and support team goals.
• Process payments for equipment rentals, activities, facility rentals, or retail sales.
• Ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards.
• Visually read and verify information in various formats, including small print.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for defects.
• Enter and retrieve job-related information using computers or point-of-sale systems.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or entire work shifts.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds (11 kg) without assistance, and objects over 25 pounds (11 kg) with assistance.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying sizes and weights, requiring hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
• Navigate elevated, confined, or narrow spaces.
• Move over slippery, uneven, or sloped surfaces, and ascend/descend service stairs or ramps.
• Reach for objects overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, crawling, and stooping.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
