Role overview

ALDI is looking for a Store Assistant to join the retail team in Young. Prior retail experience is not required. The ideal candidate will bring a positive attitude, a solid work ethic, and a willingness to learn. The role offers variety because store teams work across different areas rather than being confined to just one task.

Stores operate every day, including weekends and public holidays, so the role can involve working in a lively and varied environment.

Key duties

  • Deliver friendly customer service at the checkout and help customers with a positive, professional approach.
  • Replenish shelves so products remain available and customers can easily find what they need.
  • Handle stock carefully by checking dates and ensuring items are priced correctly.
  • Set up attractive displays for ALDI special buys.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and visually appealing store environment.

Additional information

  • Hourly pay is $31.27 plus applicable shift allowances.
  • The position is part-time, with an average of 10.5 to 20 hours each week.
  • This is a permanent part-time role, with access to paid leave, parental leave, and sick leave.
