Role overview
This position is with a client based in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia, at a port strategically positioned close to Asian markets. The location offers shorter shipping routes and reduced transit times for exporters and importers.
Working pattern
- Pay is set at a flat rate of $79.05 per hour.
- Roster coverage runs from Monday through Sunday.
- Shifts may be scheduled during both day and night.
- Work is offered on an on-call basis.
What you'll be doing
- Carrying out manual labour and general site work.
- Using jackhammers as part of day-to-day duties.
- Operating power tools safely and effectively.
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of stock and equipment from trains.
- Supporting a range of general site tasks as needed.
Requirements
- A valid White Card is mandatory.
- Applicants must be Australian citizens.
- You need to be physically capable of working with tools and machinery.
- A current driver's licence and dependable transport are required.
- Reliability is essential for this role.
- You must be able to obtain a Port Pass.
- You must be able to pass a pre-employment medical assessment and drug and alcohol screening.
