Role Overview

Advance Auto Parts is seeking a Store Driver in Waycross, GA to support deliveries, customer service, merchandising, and store operations. This role focuses on timely parts delivery, customer relationship building, and maintaining an organized, safe, and clean store environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, prepare, and safely transport parts to professional customers.
• Retrieve returned items and used cores from customers.
• Distribute weekly and monthly promotional flyers while highlighting current offers and loyalty initiatives.
• Handle daily collections for credit accounts.
• Develop and sustain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers, and share delivery-based customer insights with the CPP.
• Support selling efforts by suggesting add-on and cross-sell items to help raise transaction value.
• Keep the store clean and presentable, including floors, restrooms, front-facing shelves, dusting, and the parking lot.
• Assist with stocking activities such as truck unloading, back-stock organization, and cycle counts.
• Stay updated on inventory and new products to better support sales efforts.
• Interact with walk-in customers to learn what they need and guide them toward suitable parts or services.
• Carry out additional tasks as needed.

Essential Skills and Job Requirements

• Ability to speak and write in English; Spanish is considered an advantage.

• Ability to read safety instructions, operating guides, maintenance manuals, parts catalogs, and procedures.
• Comfort with basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Availability to work a mix of days, evenings, and weekends as required.
• Confidence in approaching customers and promoting products.
• Willingness to learn new products and selling techniques.

Experience and Education

Prior automotive parts experience is preferred. A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is required.

Licensing and Physical Requirements

A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is mandatory. The role involves extended periods of walking and standing, along with frequent use of hands, arms, and body movement such as reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Employees must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally with assistance. Required vision abilities include close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

This position is primarily performed indoors, though occasional outdoor work is required in varying weather conditions, such as when installing batteries and wiper blades. The role may also involve exposure to moving machinery, elevated areas, chemicals, electrical hazards, explosives, and vibration. Noise levels are generally moderate.
