Job description
Role summary
This position is responsible for steering overall store profitability, strengthening sales performance, and ensuring smooth day-to-day retail operations. The role also covers customer service delivery, team motivation and retention, and consistent compliance with organizational standards.
Education
A graduate or postgraduate degree is required.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare store-level sales targets and quotas that support broader business goals.
- Monitor and improve gross margin, stock on hand, segment and brand mix, discount control, and other business measures in line with strategy.
- Put in place standards for productivity, quality, customer service, and overall operational effectiveness.
- Recommend suitable product lines and maintain the right merchandise assortment.
- Increase sales, protect margins, reduce shrinkage, manage inventory, and control operating costs.
- Handle commercial matters and ensure statutory and regulatory compliance.
- Track team performance, build collaboration, and encourage a strong workplace culture.
- Spot future leaders and develop talent for important roles.
- Use customer feedback to enhance service quality and business processes.
- Keep track of competitor activity and resolve customer escalations effectively.
- Execute local events and promotional activities as per the marketing plan.
- Build a customer-first culture across the store.
