Job description
About the Company
Everllence, previously known as MAN Energy Solutions, focuses on propulsion, decarbonization, and efficiency technologies for shipping, the energy sector, and industrial applications. With a guiding principle of “Moving big things to zero,” the company supports major industries in cutting emissions that are difficult to eliminate and contributes to the global shift toward cleaner energy.
Its portfolio includes ship and power plant engines, retrofit options designed for climate-neutral fuels, large-scale heat pumps for low-carbon heat supply, and carbon capture and storage solutions. Through its subsidiary Quest One, Everllence also produces electrolyzers for green hydrogen generation. The organization has about 15,000 employees across more than 140 locations worldwide and is backed by its global after-sales service arm, Everllence PrimeServ.
Role Overview
The Superintendent Engineer will oversee after-sales service operations, leading engineering and technical teams while ensuring strong service quality for corporate customers. The position combines technical support, team leadership, customer interaction, project tracking, and coordination with internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will guide service engineers, technicians, skilled workers, and crews involved in maintenance, repair, and support activities for Everllence equipment such as engines, turbochargers, and automation systems. You will create standard operating procedures, improve service processes, and help raise customer satisfaction through consistent delivery standards.
You will also coordinate with internal teams to keep service work moving smoothly and to resolve technical issues quickly. The job includes providing hands-on technical assistance to customers, traveling to different sites as needed, and staying current on marine engine technology and decarbonization developments.
Additional duties include planning and monitoring maintenance projects, measuring actual progress against schedules, taking corrective action when required, and ensuring activities are properly aligned for successful outcomes. You will promote best practices in your area, carry out repairs on 2-stroke and 4-stroke diesel engines and their components, and deliver follow-up technical support to vessels and power plants. Preparing customer reports, taking part in educational seminars, and maintaining strong documentation and internal communication are also part of the position.
Requirements
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline. The role calls for 5 to 7 years of relevant experience, ideally in heavy equipment or machinery, with maritime industry exposure being essential.
Strong knowledge of maritime engines and related systems is required, along with proven leadership, coordination, and people-management ability. Candidates should bring good problem-solving skills, a structured analytical mindset, and the capacity to work effectively in a fast-moving environment while paying close attention to detail.
Effective interpersonal, communication, presentation, and intercultural skills are important. The employer also values integrity, compliance, safety awareness, teamwork, professionalism, and a proactive approach to finding solutions.
Additional Information
Integrity and compliance are core parts of the company culture. Everllence also emphasizes diversity and equal opportunity and welcomes applications from a broad range of candidates. The posting references starting the application process through contact with the company.
