Role Overview
Simple Solutions Trading is seeking a Supply Chain Supervisor to manage the complete flow of supply chain activities. The position covers procurement, inventory oversight, logistics, and vendor management, with a strong focus on keeping materials and services available on time, controlling costs, following company policies and industry requirements, and improving overall operational performance.
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day supply chain work, including planning for materials, purchasing, storage, and delivery.
- Create and apply methods that shorten lead times, improve inventory accuracy, and lower operating costs.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, and Finance teams to keep supply chain activities aligned with schedules and budgets.
- Handle supplier sourcing, qualification, and performance reviews to maintain dependable quality and service.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to secure the best possible commercial outcomes.
- Track supply chain metrics to spot risks, delays, bottlenecks, and areas that need improvement.
- Make sure operations follow relevant regulations, contractual commitments, and internal standards.
- Guide, support, and develop supply chain team members while promoting continuous improvement.
- Use ERP platforms and digital systems to simplify procurement and inventory workflows.
- Share regular reports with management covering supply chain performance and cost efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline is required.
- Applicants should have 5 to 7 years of experience in supply chain operations, ideally within manufacturing, oil & gas, or industrial environments.
- Strong understanding of procurement, logistics coordination, and stock control is essential.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms, along with Microsoft Office, is needed.
- Well-developed negotiation and supplier relationship management skills are expected.
- Candidates must be able to analyze issues, solve problems, and improve processes effectively.
- Leadership experience and the ability to manage a team are important for this role.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and cost awareness are key requirements.
- Clear communication and strong cross-functional coordination skills are necessary.
