Helic & Co. is looking for a motivated Junior Research Assistant to join on a remote, full-time basis. This entry-level role is suited to someone who wants to develop a long-term career in research or academia while contributing to active research projects and data-focused work.
What you will do
- Review existing literature and pull together concise summaries of the main insights.
- Help plan and carry out research studies and experiments.
- Gather, sort, clean, and structure both qualitative and quantitative information.
- Keep records, databases, and supporting documents accurate and up to date.
- Assist with analysis and interpretation of data while working under guidance.
- Draft research notes, presentations, reports, and project summaries.
- Follow ethical standards and research procedures throughout the work.
- Work with other team members and help manage project coordination tasks.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree or currently be pursuing one in a relevant area such as Social Sciences, Life Sciences, Business, or a related subject. You should have a basic understanding of research methods and how data is collected, along with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Strong analytical ability, good organization, critical thinking, and clear written and spoken communication are important, as is a careful eye for detail and the ability to handle several tasks at once.
Preferred background
It will be an advantage to have exposure to statistical software such as SPSS, R, or Python, familiarity with both qualitative and quantitative research approaches, experience in academic writing and referencing styles like APA or MLA, and prior use of survey platforms or other data collection tools.
