Job Context

This role involves understanding key project drivers, establishing clear roles and responsibilities, developing communication protocols, and implementing project procedures for reporting, cost control, and planning/scheduling. A significant aspect is identifying potential disputes and claims arising from project design and construction, and influencing stakeholders across the organization to ensure project delivery within agreed timelines.

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with EPC Contractor Project Controls personnel throughout project execution to ensure the company receives timely and optimal information for decision-making.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree in Sciences or Engineering is required.

Knowledge and Experience

Requires a minimum of 8 years of experience across various project functions, including project management, engineering, construction, and procurement, specifically within the Oil & Gas Industry. This includes at least 1 year of experience in a supervisory capacity, potentially including acting roles or oversight of contractor, subcontractor, service, or vendor personnel.

Technical Skills and Competencies

  • Experience working with Oil & Gas companies, EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors, or service providers in the oil and gas sector.
  • Proficiency in project business-related functions such as planning, scheduling, cost control, estimating, claim management, risk management, change management, procurement, pre- and post-award contract management, actionable reporting, support services, and lessons learned.
  • Expert-level competence in the candidate's specific business discipline.
  • Familiarity with international standards, best practices, and methodologies relevant to business disciplines.
  • Understanding of relevant business processes and procedures.
  • Experience applying risk assessment approaches in decision-making.
  • Strong command of relevant software and computer skills, including dashboards, data analytics, and SAP.
  • Experience supporting large-scale integrated operating and executing organizations, such as Operations, Projects, and Subsurface departments.
